A handsome former post office opposite Galatasaray Lycée houses a museum of two halves. The upper floor tells the story of the famous football club, displaying it’s first cup won in 1909, and photographs including one of Sabri Mahir(the first Turkish footballer to play overseas; team shots interesting mainly for the Greek and Balkan names, typical of Constantinople;and the trunks and cotton swimming cap of long-distance swimmer Ersin Aydın (born 1947).

The lower floor tells the story of the school, in splendidly renovated rooms.
