Red-and-white chequered tablecloths adorn the wooden tables at this casual restaurant/café reminiscent of an American diner – with a menu to match.

The breakfast plate is a good choice and the American-style eggs come in a traditional style – scrambled and with a side of home fries. The sandwiches and salads are moreish – try the meatball or the salmon. There’s also a selection of appetiser plates and a good selection of pastas. The Mama’s special which is spaghetti served with parsley and Ezine cheese (a full-fat white cheese pickled and ripened in tinplate containers) is a simple and delicious offering. Plenty of drinks – alcoholic and not, hot, cold and fruity – to wash it all down with.
