Amcazade Huseyin Pasha Yalı

Körfez Caddesi No. 47, Anadoluhisarı, Beykoz, Istanbul

The oldest yalı on the Bosphorus, built in 1699 or even earlier, has unfortunately succumbed to neglect. It belonged to Mustafa II’s grand vizier Amcazade Köprülü Hüseyin Pasha, from the powerful Köprülü family. A well-known developer managed to cut through the tangle of ownership resulting from inheritance laws, but tragically has since allowed the house to collapse.
