A beautiful mosque complex built by Sinan in 1583 in a hilltop district above the harbour of Üsküdar. Atik is the old word for Eski, or Old, and the name is often given its proper Ottoman order, Valide-i Atik Camii (as given on Google Maps). It is a bit of a hike to walk up the hill from the harbour, but well worth. Continue on to the Çinili Mosque.
