Next month, Professor Dr Nurhan Atasoy will be giving  a series of lectures across the United States with the support of the Turkish Cultural Foundation. On 14 March, the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology, Ann Arbor, will be treated to a talk entitled "Ottoman Gardens." This talk will  be repeated on 22 March at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. On 19 March, she will present on something a little different at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts - "Life in Istanbul in 1582 through the miniature paintings of Surname of Murad III." As a highly respected scholar of Ottoman art, Professor Atasoy's talks will no doubt be of the highest quality. For more details, please click here. For those with a particular interest in Ottoman gardens, please see Cornucopia 13 and 29.
