Serpuş Han

Perşembe Pazarı Caddesi, entrance on Eski Tay Çıkmazı, Karaköy, Istanbul

The three-storey Serpuş Han was built in the 18th-century, using a Genoese structure as its base. In those days, it housed booksellers but today, in the vaulted rooms upstairs, craftsmen work on various hardware essentials. On the ceiling is a painting of Galileo, date unknown.
